Fast trains from Liverpool Street

Trains from London Liverpool Street to Clacton-on-Sea stop at Thorpe-le-Soken.
The station is a little way out of the village on Harwich Rd.  Turn left out of the station forecourt into Station Road which leads to the village.  At the end of Station Road, turn left and the church is just a little way ahead on your left.

Directions by road

From the A120 east of Colchester follow the signs for Harwich and Clacton on the A133. At Weeley, bear left onto the B1033 which goes through Thorpe on the way to Frinton-on-Sea and Walton-on-the-Naze.   The Tudor red brick church tower can be clearly seen on the right soon after entering the village.  There are two entrances to the churchyard, one in High Street between Xclusive (Hair and Beauty Salon) (shop) and the Bell Inn, the other a little further on  is a lych gate. If you find yourself at the mini-roundabout you have gone too far. Go right around the roundabout and you will find the lych gate on your left. Both entrances are normally open during the day.
