Bishop of Richborough
The parish is under the extended episcopal care of the Bishop of Richborough, Rt Revd. Norman Banks, who was consecrated in June 2011.

Forward in Faith a worldwide organisation which affirms the faith of the Church as revealed in Scripture and Tradition and whose members are unable in conscience to accept the ordination of women as priests or as bishops. Its members are to be found in all parts of the British Isles, as well as mainland Europe, (the Diocese of Gibraltar in Europe) and in the USA.

Walsingham
The Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham is the principal place of pilgrimage in this country, the original Shrine having been founded in 1061 first gave this North Norfolk village the other name by which it is known, 'Englands's Nazareth'. There is a statue of Our Lady of Walsingham in St Michael's where prayers are offered and candles lit. Mass is offered on the second Saturday of each month for the Shrine and its work.
Society of the Holy Cross
SSC from the initials of the society's name in Latin, 'Societas Sanctae Crucis' is the oldest society for priests in the Church of England and the oldest of the 'catholic societies' of the Church of England.
SSC unites over a thousand priests worldwide in a shared rule of life. The society meets regularly in chapters and regional synods.

Additional Curates Society
The ACS exists to help provide priests for 'poor and populous parishes' and to help in the discernment and encouragement of vocations to the sacred priesthood. Like many others, the parish priest of Thorpe-le-Soken has cause to be grateful to ACS for their help, both in discerning his vocation and in supporting him and his family in his five years as a curate. ACS is one the charities supported by Saint Michael's.
St Stephen's House, Oxford
St. Stephen's House, Oxford is one of the Church of England's Theological Colleges where candidates for ordination receive their priestly training and formation. St Stephen's House is a Permanent Private Hall of the University of Oxford.
